Artisits Only Make Money When They Are Dead

I'm a bit childish. Or maybe a lot childish. Whatever, does it really matter? I love books! More specifically, I love children's books. I love the funny, simple little stories with the life lessons at the end that you never really pick up on until you are an adult. But most of all I LOVE the illustrations! So you wouldn't believe how giddy I was when I found Mike Wohnoutka's art work. Much like myself, Mike has wanted to be an artist since he was knee high to a grass hopper only Mike went to Art School at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia and I went to school for graphic design because my father told me that you can't make any money as an artist unless you are dead. So maybe I'm a little jealous. But on top of that I'm in awe. Check out his work here. I'm in love with all of his characters and am seriously considering buying a book to read at bedtime.

  1. Love the images! And I agree... children's books are good for kids and adults alike! I love how they always have some great little moral!

PS I love the design/artwork at the top of your blog!
